SEANAPTIC and ANSYS Based on Rhinoceros
SEANAPTIC is a plugin for Rhino that allows naval architects to model parametric ship structures with maximum efficiency.
The Seanaptic 7 version is compatible with Rhino 7. In this version we implemented the interaction between ANSYS Mechanical (mechanical analysis software for structural design based on finite-element method) and SpaceClaim. Direct export of all structural geometry is available in a new plugin.
Seanaptic pre-processes the geometry to produce highly detailed connecting meshes, while the structural parameters of plates and beams are transferred directly to the model, providing high efficiency.
What used to take weeks or even months can now be achieved in days or even hours. This software package consisting of Rhino, Seanaptic, and ANSYS will make the traditional pre-processing of mechanical analysis based on finite-element method obsolete!
