This version is intended for users who need additional features for advanced 5-axis simultaneous milling.
The drive surface option allows you to use any standard toolpath function while keeping the cutting tool perpendicular to the drive surface. Both part of the model and the outer surface can be used as a drive surface. This allows you to control the direction of the cut during simultaneous 5-axis milling, regardless of the shape of the model. The drive surface option works for roughing, waterline finishing, planar finishing, pencil tracing etc.
The swarf profiling is used to create simultaneous 5-axis profiling toolpaths from surface edge curves and keep the cutter parallell to the surface. This function works over several surface edges and can be used on polysurface or solid NURBS models.
The perpendicular to surface profiling is used to create simultaneous 5-axis profiling toolpaths from surface edge curves and keep the cutter perpendicular to the surface. Works on polysurface or solid NURBS models with curves over several surface edges.
The part trimming is used for creatsng simultaneous 5-axis profiling toolpaths from curves and vectors. The cutter direction is controlled by selected vectors or line curves. This function can also be used for simultaneous 5-axis scribing.
