Competition for students: “Design for a better life: create a 3D model in Rhino for improving the lives of others”
3D modeling can be used to create innovative solutions to improve life and address various social, medical, environmental, and technological challenges in society.
We invite all students to participate in this competition, where they will have the opportunity to showcase their skills in Rhino 3D and their creativity in developing 3D models aimed at improving the lives of others. This is a challenge to develop innovative projects that can make the world a better and more comfortable place.
We don’t limit your imagination and offer you the freedom to choose what resonates with you.
Rules
- Entries must be created using Rhino 3D.
- Visualization of your model must be done in Rhino 3D or Keyshot.
- Participants can submit more than one entry, but each must be submitted separately.
- Entries must be created independently.
Prizes
- First Place – Rhino 3D* Academic License and an Academic License for KeyShot, or participation in a group course on Rhino 3D** (winner’s choice).
- Second Place – KeyShot Academic License or participation in a group training course for Rhino 3D** (winner’s choice)
- Third Place – T-shirt and cup with the Rhino 3D logo or participation in a group training course for Rhino 3D** (winner’s choice).
Each of the winners will receive a winner’s diploma corresponding to their prize place.
* – The license is allowed for commercial use and can be upgraded to a commercial version after graduation. The license is provided by the SABIT company.
** – Any group course can be chosen until April 1, 2024.
Evaluation Criteria
- Innovation and Utility: How innovative and useful the model is for improving the quality of life for others now or in the future.
- Technical Quality: The model exhibits high technical quality and precision in details.
- Design and functionality: The aesthetic appearance and how well the model can perform its intended functions and tasks.
Submission
1. Add a picture of your model and a short description to your Facebook or Instagram page with #KonkursSABIT and tag Sabit’s page in the post.
2. Upload the following files:
- 1 file in 3dm format
- 1 file in ksp format (optional)
- description of the idea and model (up to 500 words)
- any additional images (up to 3) (optional)
Deadlines
The submission of entries for the competition is open until January 28, 2024.
The winners will be announced on January 31, 2024.
This competition provides students with an opportunity to combine their 3D modeling talents with social responsibility and channel their creativity toward creating products that will help others and make this world a little better.
