Grasshopper

Grasshopper is a visual programming language ideal for the needs of architects and designers, which allows you to create parametric models based on mathematical algorithms. Parametric modeling differs significantly from conventional 2D drawing or 3D modeling. Shape characteristics are rule-based and can be easily changed using parameters in Grasshopper.

We will explore popular directions and applications of Grasshopper together. Here are some directions:

– Waffle texture grasshopper: furniture made of plywood, art objects, furniture made of cardboard.
– Skins: various textures where an array of geometric shapes change their form.
– Creating a mural based on a photograph and using the imadge sampler tool.
– Form shaping using the Kangaroo physics engine.

What we will build:

– Shoe sole protector.
– Parametric bench.
– 3D animal figure made of intersecting sheets of cardboard (waffle constructions).
– Mural from a photograph.
– Ceiling surface using Kangaroo for HoReCa.
– Construct a shape using the Voronoi algorithm for confectioners.
Build a ring with parametric texture (jewelry).
