Introduction of the competition results for students

Today, we are delighted to announce the winners of the student competition “Design for a better life: create a 3D model in Rhino for improving the lives of others”, where aspiring designers presented their innovative projects to us.

After evaluating the best works among creative projects, we present the results of the voting.

In the first place, with an ergonomic joint brace, is Anna Śmigielska-Rączka. Her design not only impresses with elegance but also demonstrates a high level of functionality, providing effective support and comfort to users. In addition, she submitted numerous works, all remarkable for their design and usefulness for people.

Second place goes to Wiktoria Rydellek, who presented an extremely useful pill organizer Her work stands out not only for its stylish design but also for considering the needs of a modern lifestyle.

In third place is Natalia Rafa. Her model is a shelter of mixed construction – made of wood and earth. The goal was to create a largely self-sufficient and eco-friendly home for travelers, generating a negative carbon dioxide emission.

We are grateful to all participants for the inspiration they poured into their projects.

Here are the competition works of the winners and their descriptions:

Structure for the lower part to support joints in minor injuries. The model was printed from flexible TPE material. Unlike standard fabric orthoses, it is waterproof, lightweight, and has smaller dimensions.

Tool for systematic intake of tablets in a daily cycle. The dispenser is designed to dispense only one tablet at a time, and its minimalist and slim design ensures ease of use and portability.

A project aimed at preserving the role of a shelter, tasked with bringing together travelers and locals. The created shelter is divided into two parts – for visitors stopping for a warm lunch and for those seeking relaxation.

Additionally, three works from the winner of our competition, Anna Śmigielska-Rączka, and other participants are also presented:

The works were evaluated based on the following categories: societal demand, quality of the 3D model, feasibility for 3D printing, innovation, and idea description.
