This course will not only help you master the basics of Rhino, but will also provide practical knowledge that can be used in the 3D modeling industry.

  • Introduction to Design

    In this introduction, you’ll learn about boat design from the perspective of a design office. What questions to ask the client, what to consider, what to remember, and what to pay special attention to. The project that will be completed during the course will also be discussed.

  • Hull Geometry

    At this crucial stage, which marks the beginning of the design process and has the greatest impact on the yacht’s performance and stability, you’ll learn about hull types, their purposes, and a discussion on the hull type that will be designed in this stage. Using Rhino tools for design and 3D modeling, you’ll create a hull considering surface smoothness, which significantly affects both performance and comfort.

  • Layout

    This section will cover yacht ergonomics and general arrangement. Attention will be paid to the importance of comfort and safety on board. You’ll learn further modeling methods in Rhino and how to represent them in drawings.

  • Aluminum Construction

    We’ll discuss types of aluminum constructions and materials used in yacht construction. Important aspects of aluminum element execution and connection will be presented, along with the selection and arrangement of structures. You’ll gain practical knowledge of construction along with structural strength secrets.

  • Equipment

    Using Rhino functions such as Import, Export; Grouping elements, blocks, working with gumball: moving, setting, copying, modifying – tips and advice – you’ll learn how to practically select yacht equipment to complete a comprehensive project and how to present it in a GENERAL PLAN drawing.

  • Rendering Basics in Rhino

    In this final stage, you’ll learn how to create a photorealistic visualization using Rhino’s rendering features.
